In Chhattisgarh, the election process began today with the issuing of notifications for the first phase of polls for assembly elections. With the issuing of notification, filing of nominations begins in 20 assembly constituencies.
The last date of filing of nomination will be 20th October, scrutiny of nominations will take place on 26th October and the last date of withdrawal of nomination will be 23rd October.
in the first phase, total twenty assembly constituencies in the most Maoist affected region of Chhattisgarh will go to polls on 07th November, this include all the 12 constituencies of Bastar division.
Chhattisgarh Assembly has 90 seats. The notification for the elections in the rest of the 70 constituencies in the second phase would be issued on 21st October. Notification for single phase Assembly elections in Mizoram also issued today.
