Gujarat: 7 thousand 600 rural post offices bring under New Digital Banking Platform

In Gujarat, more than 7 thousand 600 rural post offices have been brought under New Digital Banking Platform on 5 G-ready networks till October 1.

Talking to Akashvani, the Chief Post Master General of Gujarat circle Neeraj Kumar said nearly 12 thousand small-scale merchants in the state have been equipped with India Post Payment bank UPI systems to enable faster digital payment.

Mr Kumar said, as part of National Postal Week celebrations, the circle has also launched several new initiatives, which include Excess Luggage parcel service for passengers at Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Vadodara airports, and round-the-clock parcel booking counters in four major cities of the state.
