Amit Shah launches BJP poll campaign in Telangana
Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah has launched the BJP poll campaign in Telangana at an election rally held in Adilabad on Tuesday.
Telangana assembly elections are scheduled for the 30th of November. Addressing a public meeting in Adilabad, Mr Shah called upon the people of the state to elect a double-engine government.
He urged people to elect a government that would work for the welfare of tribals. He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visits announced the setting up of the Sammakka Saralamma Tribal University, and National Turmeric Board and took measures to resolve water disputes for the state.
Alleging that the BRS government obstructed the development of tribals and the downtrodden, Mr Shah said the center is determined to provide employment to every tribal youth and LPG cylinder to every household. He also said the Government has strengthened national and internal security.
