PM Modi accuses BRS Govt in Telangana of corruption and misappropriation of farmers’ schemes & programmes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today charged the BRS government in Telangana with corruption and misuse of farmers’ schemes and programmes. Addressing a gathering of people at ‘Palamuru Prajagarjhana’ public meeting, he said the BRS government has misused farmers programmes for personal gains. He also alleged corruption in irrigation programme.

Stating that all out efforts are being made by the centre to help out farmers in the state, he said 10 thousand crore rupees were spent through PM Kishan Samman Nidhi in Telangana.
 
Stating that the Women Reservation Act, will empower women across the country, he said women of Telangana know that a brother in Delhi is making continuous efforts to improve the lives of women. He recalled the initiatives taken by the NDA government at the centre for implementing schemes and programmes like Mudra Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and Ujwala schemes for women.  

Referring to the National Turmeric Board, the Prime Minister said the board will benefit turmeric farmers of not only Telangana but also the entire country. He said Sammakka Saralamma Tribal University which was announced today, will protect the interests of the tribal people.

He also said people have faith in Modi and people of Telangana want change and implementation of assurances. He said the development projects that he laid foundation stone today, will improve employment opportunities.

He repeatedly addresses people as his ‘family members’ amidst public applause. He also waged fierce criticism against the BRS, Congress and MIM stating that these parties are family parties. He said only BJP is concerned about social responsibility.
 
Earlier, BJP state president Kishan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has failed in implementing all his assurances. He criticised the chief Minister for not attending when the prime minister inaugurated development works. He said Congress, BRS and MIM are hand in glove and are working together.
