AP: Mangalagiri Eco Park a symbol of environment: Set up Eco-Parks in every forest division: Minister Peddireddy
Sri Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, State Environment and Forest Minister today inaugurated the newly established eco park under the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department in Tadepalli Forest area near Mangalagiri of Guntur district.
The Minister expressed his happiness for set up the park a mirror of the environment in an area of 20 hectares as a part of providing clean air, pleasure and health to the people and congratulated the officials who worked hard for it.
Later, Minister Peddireddy visited the park and inspected the facilities for children and visitors. The park entrance, trekking, walking and other arrangements were observed directly and learned about them.
Along with the Minister, District Collector Venugopal Reddy, PCCF (HoFF) Y. Madhusudhana Reddy, MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, MLC Hanumantha Rao, Forest department officials, CCF Srinivasa Reddy, DFO Mahaboob Basha, public representatives, officials and non-officials were present.
On this occasion, Minister Peddireddy said that the forest areas near the urban areas are being developed and set up as parks and Nagaravan’s in a pleasant environment to provide clean air and good health to the people. The Minister directed the officials to complete the newly undertaken Nagaravanas across the state and dedicate them to the people by the next elections. As a part of this, the Minister expressed his happiness over the opening of Mangalagiri Eco Park.
Later, Minister Peddireddy spoke at a meeting of officials held in Vijayawada. Addressing a review meeting with forest department officials at the secretariat, the minister instructed the officials to commence the works pertaining to eco tourism park in Somasila Backwater Area.
Minister of Energy, Forest, Environment, Science and Technology Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Tuesday directed the senior officials of the Forest department to quicken the works to develop an eco-park at every forest division in the State.
Addressing a review meeting with forest department officials at the secretariat, the minister instructed the officials to commence the works pertaining to the eco-tourism park in Somasila Backwater Area.
He suggested the officials take partnerships with NGOs and other organisations that involves in mining activities for the progress of eco-park works. Officials were directed to fill up the vacant posts of director and curator in the park.
