Hyderabad: NALSAR University Hosts Lecture by Telangana DGP, Anjani Kumar  

Hyderabad, 27th September 2023 – NALSAR University was honoured to host Mr. Anjani Kumar IPS, the Director-General of Police for the state of Telangana, who addressed our aspiring legal minds. Mr. Kumar emphasised upon the essential role of future lawyers within our nation’s Criminal Justice System.

Mr. Kumar also discussed the importance of learning from historical events by drawing parallels with global incidents. He quoted the famous phrase – “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” To further strengthen his arguments, he relied upon several case studies by beginning with the recent Indo-Canadian Issue.

He underscored the failures of the International Criminal Justice System and its need for proactive reform, citing the tragic 1985 Air India bombing as a stark example.

He also elucidated upon upcoming modes of cyber and financial crimes by citing famous examples such as the 1992 Securities scam and 2003 Telgi stamp scam.  Prof.Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR, Dr.K.V.K.Santhy, Director, Cyber Laws and Cyber Forensic Centre were also present.
