Hyderabad: Nalsar conducts seminar on “India and International Trade: Analyzing the Legal, Economic and Policy Dimensions”
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad organised a day-long seminar – titled “India and International Trade: Analyzing the Legal, Economic and Policy Dimensions” – on India’s position, policy and prospects concerning international trade on campus.
The seminar was organised by the Justice Jeevan Reddy Centre for International Trade and Business Laws (JJR-CITBL) and the Centre for Commercial Laws and Dispute Resolution (CCLDR) at NALSAR.
Dr. P. S. Rao, Director of JJR-CITBL, introduced the theme of the seminar to the audience, with Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor of NALSAR, delivering the opening remarks.
The proposed seminar was divided into three sessions. The first session covered issues of overarching importance. The second session analysed the interplay between international trade and the environment, as the environment has now come to play an important role in shaping trade agreements.
And the third session focused on agriculture and international trade. The Resource Persons for the Seminar include faculty from, IIFT, Delhi, FICCI, Centre for WTO Studies etc.
