Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Bhupender Yadav has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a beacon of hope to those who are toiling in the Society. Speaking at the inauguration of the Vishwakarma scheme at Chennai, he said that India should be proud to have a dedicated Prime Minister who has been upholding the rights of the marginalised, the poor, and the needy.

He remarked that because of his strong leadership, the Country has been on a global pedestal in all the fields. Referring to the age-old language Tamil, he said that it was the Prime Minister’s decision to honour the language by having the scepter or the Sengol at the New Parliament. He said that the State is rich in art, culture, education, and IT Industry.

Listing out the schemes of the Narendra Modi Government, the Minister said that the Ministry of Skill Development will help develop the efficiency of the artisans and bring out uniqueness in this modern age. He clarified that state-of-the-art technology means not erasing the old but adapting to protect the faded art and culture.

Launching the Vishwakarma Scheme at Madurai, the Minister of State for health and family welfare. Prof.S.P.Singh Baghel said that Tamilnadu is known for its ancient art, tradition, and culture. Referring to ancient poets of the language, he said that Tiruvalluvar, the Poet, and  Ovvaiyar, the women poets are well known for their sayings even in this modern age. 

He said that Thanjavur and Madurai districts are internationally known for ancient temples. The Minister informed that the Union Government has launched the Vishwa Karma Scheme at a cost of 30 thousand crore rupees and appealed to the artisans and skilled workers to register themselves for a recognition card in the scheme and benefit from it. Mr. Baghel said that it was the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to uplift the lives of arts and craftsmen so that they live a dignified life and contribute to the development of the Nation.
