CM Jagan inaugurates 5 Government Medical Colleges in AP

The Chief Minister of the State Shri Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy today inaugurated the newly established Government Medical College in Vizianagaram. Later, the CM inaugurated 4 new government medical colleges in Rajamahendravaram, Eluru, Nandyala and Machilipatnam virtually from the premises of Vizianagaram Government Medical College.

Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the statue of late Chief Minister Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, which was installed in the premises of the Medical College. After viewing the photo exhibition arranged in the Government Medical College, he inspected the labs of various departments.

On this occasion, the CM said that public health is being prioritized in the state and 17 new government medical colleges have been inaugurated at a cost of Rs.8,480 crores. As a part of this, the CM explained that 5 government medical colleges have been inaugurated today.

Addressing the faculty, staff and students of the medical colleges on this occasion, the CM wished them to excel with the best medical education.

Health Minister Vidadala Rajini, Deputy Chief Minister (Tribal Welfare) Pidika Rajannadora, Deputy Chief Minister (Panchayat Raj, Rural Development) Budi Mutyalanaidu, Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, many MPs, MLCs, MLAs, other public representatives and high officials attended the event.
