Maharashtra: More than 47 students injured in bus-truck collision in Palghar

More than 47 students and a few other persons were injured in Palghar district of Maharashtra following a collision between the bus they were travelling on and a truck. The accident took place this morning near Malwada Phata in Wada tehsil.

The injured people were admitted to Wada Rural Hospital. After primary treatment, a seriously injured student was referred to a hospital at Kalwa in Thane.

Another student who received a head injury is being treated at the Wada Rural Hospital. The rest of the passengers have been discharged after first aid.
 
The bus involved in the accident was operated by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC).
