Parshottam Rupala to chair one day National Conference on Kisan Credit Card for Fisheries on Monday

Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Parshottam Rupala will chair a one day National Conference on Kisan Credit Card for Fisheries on Monday in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The Conference is being jointly organized by Department of Fisheries and Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying to resolve pressing on-ground issues.

Representatives from Fisheries Department of States and Union Territories, KCC beneficiaries, fishermen, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders from across the nation are expected to participate.

During the event, the Minister will distribute Kisan Credit Cards to eligible fishermen and interact with them. Fisheries and aquaculture activities are an important source of food, nutrition and employment generation and is an important source of livelihood for 2.8 crore fishermen.
