US Open: Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to take on Brit Daniel Evans at Arthur Ashe Stadium

Defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will take on 26th-seeded Brit Daniel Evans of Britain in men’s singles of US Open tennis at Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York tonight.

In women’s singles, second seeded and last year’s semifinalist, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will face Clara Burel of France. In another match, last year’s runner-up, Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, will compete against Marie Bouzkova of Czech Republic.

Yesterday, the three-time winner Novak Djokovic entered the fourth round in men’s singles beating his fellow Serb Laslo Djere 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.

In women’s singles, Coco Gauff of USA reached the round of 16 of the tournament beating Elise Mertens of Belgium 3-6, 6-3, 6-0. She will now face Caroline Wozniacki tomorrow.
