On the instructions of SCCL CMD N. Sridhar, arrangements were made under the direction of Director (Finance, Personnel) N. Balaram to pay the 11th wage arrears of 23 months to the workers as soon as possible within a month.

Mr. N. Balaram informed in a statement on Friday that according to the preliminary estimate Rs.1726 crores will be paid as arrears and an average worker will receive arrears up to Rs.4 lakhs.

He said that for the first time in the history of Singareni, in the context of paying a large amount of wage arrears, the arrears will be deposited in the accounts of the workers in two installments within a month so that there is no chance of any mistakes.

The process has been started from Friday with the coordination of all departments such as Personnel Department, Accounts, Auditing, ERP, SAP, IT etc.

He said that first the auditing process on the salary arrears of the employees should be completed as quickly as possible, then the program design and SAP test runs should also be completed in a short time to pave the way for the payments. He clarified that there should be no delay at any stage.

They stated that they are basically thinking to pay within a month but they are working to pay earlier than that.

It is stated that the 11th Wage Board has been implemented in Singareni before everyone else, and to this extent, the company is incurring an additional cost of Rs.1200 crores per year, along with which the current arrears of Rs.1726 crores will be paid a total of about 3000 crores.

He said that these dues are being paid to the currently employed workers and will be paid to the retired workers soon.
