Tirupati: Leopard, bear caught by trap cameras on Tirumala footpath: CCF Nageswara Rao

Mr. Nageswara Rao CCF, Tirupati said that one leopard and one bear were found roaming on the Tirumala footpath through the trap cameras set up by the forest department.

Speaking at a media conference organized by the Forest Department on the movement of wild animals on the Tirumala footpath ways, CCF explained the measures taken in coordination with the Forest Department and TTD.

The CCF stated that they are detecting the movement of wild animals by installing 400 trap cameras on both the Tirumala footpaths. Through these, information was received that a leopard and a bear were roaming and special teams were formed to catch them.

CCF clarified that the leopard and bear will be caught in a very short time and there is no need for the devotees going on the footpath to Tirumala to panic and in this regard the devotees should follow the guidelines issued by the Forest Department and TTD. Devotees can travel on foot by taking proper precautions.

CCF Nageswara Rao explained that it has already been revealed that it was a cheetah that attacked Lakshitha, and reports have been received as to which of the two cheetahs caught earlier attacked Lakshitha.
