Chandrayaan-3 landing depends on health of lander module and conditions on Moon: Mission Director Nilesh M Desai

The decision to land Chandrayaan-3 tomorrow will be determined on the health of the lander module and the conditions on the Moon, This was stated by Nilesh M Desai, Director, Space Applications Centre-ISRO, Ahmedabad, on Monday.

Director Mission Chandrayaan Neelesh M Desai expressed his confidence that the mission will go as per plan and ensured a safe landing on the 23rd August evening.  

He also stated that if weather conditions are not ideal, the landing could be postponed until 27th August.
