G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers’ Meeting to be held today in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

The G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting will conclude today. On the sidelines of the meeting, a Joint Finance and Health Ministers’ meeting will be held today which will be attended by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman.

On the concluding day of the G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting, there will be deliberations on the need for Digital Health innovations and solutions to aid universal Health coverage and improve healthcare services.

In this direction, Global Initiative on Digital Health will be launched today. This initiative aims to consolidate efforts in the digital healthcare landscape in the world today.

Consensus building on the need for an interim medical countermeasures platform and setting up climate health initiatives in India are also among the expected outcomes of the meeting.
