Andhra Pradesh: Minister Peddireddy inaugurates Pollution Control Board Regional Office & Laboratory at Tirupati
Tirupati, August 19 : State Forest and Environment Minister Sri Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy inaugurated the Regional Office and Laboratory building of Pollution Control Board in Tirupati.
On this occasion, the minister said that 25 cents of land has been allocated for this building by the revenue department in the city and AP with 5 upper floors. Police Housing Corporation under their supervision a total of Rs. He said that he is very happy to start his own building today, built in 34 thousand square feet at a cost of 16.50 crores.
He said that even if the zonal office is set up in Tirupati in the future, the same building has been constructed to suit it. He said that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought changes by paying special attention to the environment, and after coming in our government, measures are being taken to control the polluting waste, and many measures are being taken by the Pollution Control Board without pollution anywhere.
He said that the state government is setting up new industries on a large scale, and it has been directed to ensure that pollution is less with the implementation of modern technology, so that the pollution control board is taking steps according to red, orange and green categories. He said that the unprecedented consumption of 263.13 million megawatts of electricity in the month of June is proof of the priority given by the state government to industries.
He said that a lab has been set up in this new building and we are constantly observing what kind of waste the industries are releasing and taking appropriate measures. He said that the red and orange category industries are working without any accidents and if the rules are exceeded, immediate action will be taken.
Similarly, the pollution control board has taken measures to prevent the pollution caused by the aqua sector and has completely controlled plastic in Tirumala, he said. He said that he congratulated the staff of the Pollution Control Board who are working for the safety of the people from time to time and as requested by the authorities, a zonal office will be set up in Tirupati.
Tirupati MP Sri Gurumurthy said that this organization is working with the aim of controlling all types of pollution, and thanked CM Jaganmohan Reddy for setting up a regional office and laboratory of Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board with a foresight to prevent the people of Tirupati district from getting caught in the clutches of pollution.
Mr. Sridhar, Member Secretary of Pollution Control Board, thanked the Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy who immediately helped in the construction of the Regional Pollution Control Board and Laboratory building and said that it is very gratifying to start this office building today. He thanked the State Chief Minister and Minister Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy for giving approval for the filling up of several vacant posts in the Pollution Control Board.
