Visakhapatnam: Director of Kansas University in USA visits Andhra University
Dr Aswini Kumar Betha an Alumni of AU ( Human Genetics 2000 Batch) currently working as Director Technology Licensing at University of Kansas USA visited Centre for Human Genetics and Centre for IPR and interacted with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy.
Dr Aswini Kumar appreciated the transformative changes that have happened in the AU campus during the last 4 years particularly to promote research, innovation, IP and Startups in the University campus which is the need of the hour.
Prof Prasad Reddy Vice Chancellor and Prof V Krishna Mohan Registrar said we are proud to note that our alumni is occupied a senior management position in the prestigious Kansas University and requested to collaborate with Andhra university in areas of mutual interest.
Prof H Purushotham IPR Chair Professor explained various IP and Technology Transfer initiatives undertaken by Andhra University. Dr Aswini Kumar shared his experiences in Kansas University how they are motivating faculty and researchers to file invention disclosures with their IP&TTO.
Further they have identified few areas of interest to exchange information to strengthen the IP Culture in Andhra University. On behalf of the University the Vice Chancellor felicitated Dr Aswini Kumar Betha as per university tradition in presence of Prof G . Paddayya, Professor of Genomics Prof H Purushotham IPR Chair and Prof Ramakrishna HOD Dept of Mass Communication.
