Chennai: India to take on Malaysia in finals of Asian men’s hockey championship trophy
India will take on Malaysia in the finals of the Asian men’s hockey championship trophy at Chennai today. Host India beat Japan 5-0 in the sensational match at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium yesterday.
Indian players brilliantly scored and defended the goal making it difficult for Japan to score a single goal in the game.
Japan will play against South Korea for the third and fourth place playoff match. Malaysia entered the finals of the trophy for the first time beating South Korea 6-2.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur will witness the finals of the trophy.
