Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar flags off Har Ghar Tiranga bike rally of Union Ministers & Members of Parliament in Delhi

Union Ministers and MPs will participate in the Tiranga Yatra in the national capital today ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will flag off the Tiranga Bike rally from Pragati Maidan. It will culminate at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. 

Talking to media in New Delhi, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy said that Yatra will be carried out from Pragati Maidan to Kartavya Path in the city. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged people to hoist tricolour at their homes on 13th, 14th and 15th August. 

Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga will be celebrated across the nation, wherein people will be encouraged to hoist flags in their premises.

The idea behind the campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation.

Last year, this campaign witnessed immense success wherein crores of households hoisted the Tiranga in their homes physically and six Crore people uploaded selfies on Har Ghar Tiranga website.)
