Telangana: CM KCR expresses deep condolences on the death of people’s singer Gaddar: Funeral with official ceremonies

The Chief Minister Shri K. Chandrasekhar Rao was deeply shocked to know about the death of Gaddar (Gummadi Vitthal Rao), who brought world fame to the Telangana song and spread the ideology of Palle Pallena through his song in the movement for Telangana statehood.

Chief Minister KCR said that Gaddar, a public speaker who lived his entire life for the sake of the people, is a proud child of Telangana.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to conduct the last rites of late Gaddar with official government honors as a mark of respect for his lifelong sacrifices in public service.

To this extent, CM KCR directed Telangana CS Mrs. Shanthi Kumari to talk to the Gaddar family members and take related measures.

The Chief Minister said that Gaddar, who ignited the swarashtra consciousness among the people with his game songs for Telangana, remained in the hearts of the people as a people’s battleship. The CM expressed his grief that he dedicated his life for the people and lived only for the people and with the death of Gaddar, the entire Telangana has lost a great public poet.

On this occasion, the CM remembered Gaddar’s cultural struggle for Telangana and his association with Gaddar. He said that Gaddar’s artistic life, which started as an ordinary Burrakatha artist, got mixed with revolutionary politics and later reached a high level in the cultural struggle in the movement for the achievement of Telangana.

The CM said that Gaddar’s services to public arts and movements as a poet are unforgettable and the loss without them cannot be filled. The CM said that public artists and poets will never die and as long as public art flourishes, his name will remain immortal. The CM conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and fans of Gaddar.
