Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Presents State IPR Champions Quiz Competition Awardsfor 2023
Andhra University proudly concluded the AP State IP Champions Quiz competition for the second consecutive year, a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering Intellectual Property Rights Awareness among students across Andhra Pradesh.
This competition was organized as part of the celebrations for World Intellectual Property Day on 26th April. The event garnered significant participation, with approximately 900 students from various colleges across the state registering for the online quiz competition.
The DPIIT-IPR Chair Centre for Intellectual Property Rights at Andhra University, designated as the State IPR Nodal Agency by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, conducted the quiz competition. The objective was to promote and instil a deeper understanding of Intellectual Property Rights in the region.
Prof. H. Purushotham, the distinguished DPIIT-IPR Chair, commended the enthusiastic response from the students and acknowledged their active involvement in this important initiative.
In a ceremony held today, Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, took the opportunity to congratulate the brilliant winners of the competition and presented the award certificates and cash prozes.
Ms. AvuthuVyshnavi (B.Tech Mechanical Engg. Final year, AU Engineering College) secured the first prize, followed by Mr. BatnaBhaskara Rao (MSc Organic Chemistry, Govt. Degree College Cheepurupalli) got the second prize and Ms. MaradaHemaPrerana (B.Tech Computer Science 3rd year, AU College of Engineering) got the third prize.The esteemed dignitaries, including Rector Prof. K. Samata and Registrar Prof. V. Krishna Mohan, graced the occasion and encouraged the young talents for their exceptional performance. Also present were Mr. U Ashok Hemanth, IP Attorney, and Ms. Haritha from CIPR.The total prize money amounting to Rs. 10,000.was shared among the winners.
