Telangana: Life imprisonment for two accused in FRO Srinivasa Rao murder case:  welcomed by Forest unions

District Chief Justice Patil Vasanth gave a sensational verdict on Thursday, awarding life imprisonment to accused Madaka Tula and Podium Naga in the murder case of Forest Department Range Officer (FRO) Srinivasa Rao in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

Both accused were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs.1000 each. It is remarkable that the investigation was completed within seven months of the murder and the accused were sentenced.

Forest employees unions welcomed life imprisonment for the accused

The forest department unions have invited the court to award life imprisonment to the accused who killed Forest Range Officer Chalamala Srinivasa Rao. The leaders of the unions said that the Guthikoyas who attacked and killed the forest officer on duty had been properly punished.

Besides supporting the family of FRO, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao, Forest Environment Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy on behalf of the Forest Department expressed their gratitude to the unions.

Along with SP Bhadradri Kothagudem, the police were especially praised by the forest trade unions for their cooperation in speedy investigation.

Chief Conservation Officer of Forests (PCCF, HoFF) R. M. Dobriyal said that the court’s verdict is invited within seven months. The union leaders said that the latest verdict will give morale to the officers and staff of forest protection.

IFS Officers Association – Telangana Chapter, State Forest Officers Association, Forest Field Officers Association, Junior Forest Officers Association expressed their special thanks and gratitude to the Govt.
