Hyderabad: GITAM Researcher Kalyani gets Woman Scientist Award
Dr. Kalyani Paidikondala, Researcher at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad received an Award of Woman Scientist from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) India, for her research achievements and application of technology for societal benefits.
She submitted a proposal to the Indian government on “Identification of potent interleukin-2 inducible T-cell kinase (ITK) inhibitors for the treatment of inflammation and cancer diseases through focused compound library design” and selected by the Indian government (DST-WOSA)
Dr. Kalyani did her M.Sc. in Chemistry from Sri Venkateshwara University and received her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH) Hyderabad. She published her research papers in more than 40 International and National Publications.
Dr. Kalyani won the Best Research Paper at National Conference held at Belgaum, Karnataka. She published five books on Transition Metal Complexes as anti-cancer drugs. Her main aim in life is to design and Developing Anti-Cancer drugs.
Her research guides Prof. Rambabu Gundla, Prof. K.M. Prakash and Dr. Gousia Begum, Hear, Department of Chemistry appreciated Dr. Kalyani on her achievement.
