Maharashtra: 15 workers were killed and three others injured in construction of Samrudhi Expressway
In Maharashtra, 15 workers were killed and three others injured as a girder machine collapsed during construction of the Samruddhi Expressway in Thane district today. The machine is a special-purpose mobile gantry crane used in bridge construction.
The accident took place in early hours near Sarlambe village in Shahpur tehsil. NDRF, Police and fire brigade personnel along with local agencies are engaged in the rescue operation.
