4th Environment & Climate Sustainability Working Group ministers meeting concludes in Chennai
Today marks the conclusion of the 4th Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group meeting (ECSWG), a three-day event held in Chennai. The proceedings will be capped off by the Environment and Climate Ministers’ meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a video message, stressing the utmost importance of environmental protection and reiterating the country’s unwavering commitment to combating climate change issues. Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav, will open the meeting.
Over the course of three days, the meeting has brought together approximately 300 delegates from G20 member countries, invitee countries, and various international organizations.
The primary focus of this gathering was to reach a consensus on the Ministerial Outcome and the Presidency Documents, both of which are vital in shaping policies and actions towards addressing environmental and climate challenges.
