India Men’s and Women’s national football teams to participate in upcoming Asian Games: Anurag Thakur

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today said it is good news for all football lovers that both Men’s and Women’s national football teams will participate in the upcoming Asian Games.
 
In a tweet, Mr Thakur said his Ministry has decided to relax the rules to facilitate participation of both teams, which were not qualifying as per the existing criterion.

He added that the Ministry decided to grant the relaxation keeping in mind their latest performances in recent times. He exuded confidence that they will put their best foot forward in the Asian Games and make the country proud.
