In Cricket, India bowled out West Indies for 114 in 23 overs in the first One Day International being played at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Chasing a target of 115 runs, India were 12 for the loss of 0 wicket/s in 1.5 overs when the reports last came in.
Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first. Indian bowlers kept striking at regular intervals to bundle out the hosts at a below-par total.

While the 2nd ODI will be played on the 29th of this month at the same venue, the 3rd and final match will take place at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad on 1st of next month. Both countries will also play five Twenty20 international matches after the ODIs, starting from the 3rd of August.
