With the beginning of the new academic session, the first-year students induction ceremony was held at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on Monday. Attended by all the students of the first year, the event presented an opportunity for orientation and academic inspiration. About 1,700 students from all the schools of GITAM, Hyderabad participated.
Prof. D.S. Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the students, conveyed best wishes, and congratulated them. He briefed about all the schools available on campus, the opportunity for a multidisciplinary approach, and the process of continuous evaluation. He also informed about Venture Development Cell, Incubation cell, etc., and the unique feature of 70 to 75 thousand alumni across the globe.
At end of the program, Prof. Akkalakshmi, 1st Year Coordinator, presented a PowerPoint Presentation in which the background of the campus, infrastructure, amenities, online resources, and academic status were highlighted.
