Singareni offers medical seats for employees’ children
The newly established Singareni Medical College in Ramagundam is offering MBBS seats. Director N Balaram said that applications are invited from eligible candidates (children) belonging to Singareni workers, employees and officials under 5 percent quota as per government norms.
Mr. N. Balaram, Director Finance and Personnel on Monday said that Singareni employees and officers’ children should submit online applications by the 14th of this month to get 7 seats under the special 5 percent reservation quota for Singareni in the new medical college (Singareni Institute of Medical Sciences) set up by the Telangana state government in Ramagundam.
The state education secretary has announced that the state government has released JIO number 75 on the 4th of this month, naming the medical college established in Ramagundam as Singareni Institute of Medical Sciences and allocating 5 percent seats to Singareni children in that college.
Children of Singareni workers will get seven seats under five percent reservation and these seats will be selected based on the rank obtained in the national level NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) exam. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Medical Sciences will allocate the seats to the best rank of the applicants along with SC, ST, BC and reservation.
Children of Singareni employees who want to apply for these seats should take and submit a certificate in the prescribed format from the head of the mine or department where their mother or father is working. Singareni HRD department has released a circular in this regard on Monday, he said. He stated that this is a great opportunity for Singareni children who want to pursue medical education.
