PM Modi to dedicate and lay foundation stone of development projects worth Rs. 24,300 Cr in Bikaner, Rajasthan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs. 24,300 Crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan this evening. He will dedicate to the nation six-lane Greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar – Jamnagar Economic Corridor. The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the Nation some more projects including the phase-I of the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor worth around Rs. 10,950 Crore.
Mr. Modi will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Bikaner Railway station to be developed at a cost of around Rs. 450 Crores. Mr. Modi will also address a public meeting after this programme to be held near Bikaner. All preparations are in place in view of the PM’s Visit. Amritsar – Jamnagar Greenfield express will boost the economic activities of the state.
“1,224 km long Amritsar – Bhatinda – Jamnagar Corridor is being developed at a total capital cost of Rs 26,000 Crore and will connect the economic towns of Amritsar, Bhatinda, Sangaria, Bikaner, Sanchore and Jamnagar across the four states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Prime Minister will today inaugurate the 500-km section of this Greenfield Expressway in Rajasthan.
About 45 percent of this expressway has been developed in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Barmer districts of Rajasthan with a cost of about Rs 11 thousand 125 crores. This expressway will not only reduce travel time significantly but will also smooth the transportation between major cities and industrial corridors. It is expected that this expressway will prove to be a milestone for the economic development of the state.
