G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting to discuss Space Industry Partnership in Bengaluru
The fourth edition of G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting that commenced in Bengaluru will discuss Space Industry partnership on the concluding day today in Bengaluru.
The Meeting is the first face-to-face meeting under the G20 umbrella, as the previous three meetings were organised in virtual and hybrid formats. The theme of the event in the fourth edition is Towards a New Space ERA aligned with the G20 Summit theme of One Earth, One Space and One Future.
On the first day yesterday the Heads of National Space Agencies, leaders of the Space Industries of G20 and various guest Nations held discussions on enhanced share of space economy in the global economy. An exhibition showcasing India’s space activities and the capabilities of Indian space industries are also organised at the event. On the concluding day today there will be a session on Space Industry partnership.
IN-SPACe Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar Goenka will make an opening remark. Thereafter the G20 and invited countries will make statements on the theme. In the concluding session on Space business connect session there will be B2B meetings and presentations by the Industry representatives.
The delegates will visit HAL and other industries working in the space sector. The meeting will conclude with cultural programmes displaying India’s traditional art forms. The proceedings of the meetings are expected to support the goal of improving the Space Economy share in the global economy in a responsible and sustainable manner.
