Kerala: Heavy rain continues to lash several parts of the state; Orange alert for 10 districts

Heavy rain continued to lash Kerala as Monsoon intensified in the state. Met Department has predicted widespread rain across the state for the coming two days.

Red alert has been issued for Idukki and Kannur districts today and for Kozhikode district tomorrow.

Orange alert has been issued in 10 districts and yellow alert in 2 districts for today. Seven teams of NDRF has been deployed in the state.

Holiday has been declared in all educational institutions in Ernakulam and Alapuzha districts and for all schools in Kasargod district.
