G-20 Research & Innovation Initiative Gathering Summit, Research Ministers’ Meeting to begin in Mumbai
The G-20 Research and Innovation Initiative Gathering (RIIG) Summit and Research Ministers’ Meeting will begin in Mumbai today. A total of 5 RIIG meetings were hosted by India this year under the theme “Research and Innovation for Equitable Society”.
More than 100 foreign delegates including Research Ministers from 29 G-20 members, invited guest countries and international organizations are going to participate in the meeting.
The RIIG Summit is going to be chaired by the Secretary, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar.
In the opening session, he is going to deliver his welcome address.
In the day, discussions will be held on RIIG-2023 theme and priority topics by all participating G20 Members, Invited Countries and International organisations.
Later, finalisation of draft text of Research Ministers Declaration and Bilateral meetings will continue.
