IMD predicts heavy to moderate rainfall in Mumbai, surrounding areas for next 2-3 days
Heavy rain continued to lash Mumbai and adjoining areas yesterday. The rain has caused flooding in some areas of Mumbai including Dadar, Parel and Sion. There were reports of waterlogging on some roads.
According to Mumbai Civic Body, the Eastern suburbs received 69.86 mm of rainfall while the western suburbs received 73.57 mm of rainfall on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the civic body has informed that three people were injured in a wall collapse incident after some part of the front side wall collapsed on the 1st floor near Manohar collage, in the Dharavi Area of Mumbai. It said that the injured are admitted to Sion Hospital and are stable.
The IMD predicted that heavy to moderate rain will continue for the next 2-3 days in Mumbai’s surrounding areas including catchment areas.
