Hyderabad:‘ Experiential Learning provides hands-on’; says Prem Kumar, Capricot at GITAM
‘Experiential Learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging the participants in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in an FDP to real-world situations’ said Prem Kumar, Product Manager at Capricot Technologies.
He is the resource person for the three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Machine Learning & Its Applications in Engineering and Technology’ from 26-28 June 2023, organized by the Department of Mathematics, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Hyderabad.
He delivered the valedictory speech on 28th June 2023. Experiential Learning allows to gain insight into their own skills, interests, passions, and values, opportunities to collaborate with diverse organizations and it boosts self-confidence and leadership skills, Prem Kumar told.
The FDP went smoothly with complete hands-on sessions full of interaction. All the participants from various departments learned and practiced the MATLAB simulation.
Prof. T.Madhavi, HoD, EECE, and Prof. K.Manjunathachari, Convener presented a shawl and memento to Prem Kumar, FDP Resource Person and Ram Kumar, Tic-Tac-Toe displayer. All the participants shared their feedback and told that it is an engaging session.
All the participants thanked the resource person, for his valuable knowledge. They also expressed their gratitude to the FDP conveners for their support. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. P.V.Rama Krishna, Associate Professor, EECE.
