Andhra Pradesh Zoo’s Director Shanti Priya Pandey visits Vizag Zoo Park
It is to inform that as a part of regular field inspection, Dr. Shanti Priya Pandey, Director of Zoo’s, Andhra Pradesh & APCCF (Wildlife) visited Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam today.
During her visit, Dr. Shanti Priya Pandey visited the entire zoo premises and expressed her appreciation for the improvemnets made in the zoo. Her inspection aims to assess the overall status of the IGZP, evaluate its conservation programs and provide valuable suggestions for further improvement.
She provided suggestions regarding the various aspects of animal welfare, conservation education, and creating awareness about the importance of biodiversity among visitors. Dr. Nandani Salaria, Curator, IGZP explained about various measures taken for animal welfare and various development programs in the zoo.
During her visit, Dr. Shanti Priya Pandey interacted with the zoo officials, animal keepers, and veterinarians to gain insights into the day-to-day operations and discussed strategies for improving animal care. She observed the quality of enclosures, nutrition programs, and veterinary facilities.
