Visakhapatnam Zoo Park: A 23-year-old Royal Bengal tigress “Kumari” died at animal rescue centre
With immense grief, we announce the death of one female Royal Bengal Tiger namely “KUMARI”, aged about 23 years died on June 24 in Animal Rescue Centre, Visakhapatnam.
The cause of death is due to Senility caused by Multi-Organ failure as per the Post-mortem report submitted by the Veterinarian, Animal Rescue Centre, Visakhapatnam.
The average lifespan of a tiger in the wild is around 12-15 years. However, under the care of the ARC staff, Tiger (Kumari) was able to live to the age of 23 years.
