Hyderabad: ‘Learning is a continuous process’ says Prem Kumar, Product Manager Capricot Technologies at GITAM
‘Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field. It is the process of learning new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis. It involves self-initiative and taking on challenges’ said Prem Kumar, Product Manager at Capricot Technologies. He is the resource person for the three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Machine Learning & Its Applications in Engineering and Technology’ from 26-28 June 2023. He delivered the keynote speech in the inaugural session on 26th June 2023.
The demand is going such a way that the technology in six months a new concept is coming, even sometimes the technology is changing completely, he narrated. Prem said that ‘I had been awarded a B.Tech. degree, but I consider it as beginning of the Engineering and the beginning of Education. Because, after five years I am starting with a new technology and starting from scratch, without that we can’t stand before the students.’
Most of the students are motivated by technology but no one knows how to deal with the technology, he told. Since, we are going to introduce the latest technology, at least we are familiar with fundamentals, we are able to teach them those concepts, work with projects and also go through the technological applications also, Prem Kumar emphasized. The resource person promised to demonstrate Robotic applications – Tic-Tac-Toe game to the participants.
Earlier, Prof. N.Seetaramaiah, Associate Director, School of Technology advised to get the knowledge through this three-day FDP and try to learn more. Prof. T.Madhavi, Head, Department of EECE briefed about the objectives of the three-day program. K.Manjunathachari, Convener of this FDP proposed the vote of thanks. The FDP will be continued till Wednesday.
