Chhattisgarh: 9th International Yoga Day celebrated at NTPC-Nava Raipur
The Ninth International Yoga Day was celebrated enthusiastically at NTPC-Nava Raipur wherein employees and their family members participated in large numbers. At a programme held at WR-II Headquarters, Nava Raipur on June 21, 2023, Yoga Instructor Shri Mukesh Nihar from Art of Living and his team imparted various Yoga Postures to the participants.
This year, the theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for ‘One Earth, One Family, and One Future.
‘ In the morning, the programme started with a demonstration of Yoga Postures followed by a lecture on “Relevance of Yoga in Today’s Corporate World”. Speaking on the occasion, Shri C Sivakumar, RED (WR-II & USSC) said that Yoga embodies unity of mind and body and asked all to make it part of daily routine activity.
Underlining the importance of Yoga in daily life, Shri C Sivakumar added that ‘what seems tough today will become your warmup tomorrow’. He further asked all to set example for others by adopting yoga which not only keeps one healthy but also contributes positively for the healthiness of the organisation and the country as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Arindam Sinha, ED-OS highlighted the rich heritage of the country and significance of Yoga to remain mentally and physically fit.
Smt C Padmaja, President and other office bearers and members of Arpita Mahila Samiti, NTPC senior officials and their family members and others were participated at Yoga Day Celebrations.
Later, a Yoga Quiz competition was organized wherein employees participated in large numbers.
