9th International Yoga Day celebrated with full enthusiasm in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh
The main program of the 9th International Yoga Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar performed yoga with about 15,000 people at the Garrison Ground.
Over one and a half lakh people took part in mass yoga exercises organized at different places on the theme of Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in Jabalpur.
Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangu Bhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Patel, Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and many Union Ministers also performed yoga in the main programme.
Mr Dhankhar said that Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul and it is zero budget insurance. He highlighted how a healthy body is the main source of happiness. Describing Yoga as the key to a healthy life, the Vice President said that health is our biggest asset and Yoga is the biggest factor in achieving this asset.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that yoga will be included in education in the state. Advising to perform yoga daily, he said that yoga gives energy to the body and courage to work continuously.
