Telangana: Govt revises DA and Dearness Relief: State govt employees in increased DA calculations
The Telangana State government has issued orders revising the Dearness Allowance (DA) to government employees and Dearness Relief to State government Pensioners.
Finance Minister Harish Rao informed that the decision has been taken on the occasion of the decennial celebrations of the state formation day.
The DA has been revised from 20.02 percent of basic pay to 22.75 percent of basic pay, effective from January last year. The rate of DA to all the employees drawing UGC, technical education and Judicial officer’s pay scale also has been revised by 3 percent.
The increased DA will be paid along with the salary of June, 2023 payable on July 1, 2023. The Dearness Relief (DR) sanctioned to the State government Pensioners also has been revised from 20.02 percent of basic pension to 22.75 percent of basic pension from January last year.
About 7 lakh 28 thousand employees and pensioners will be benefited with the decision. The decision will put an additional burden of 974 crore rupees annually on the state exchequer and 1380 crore rupees towards arrears.
