Hyderabad: PFMA workshop Inaugurated at GITAM
Department of Mathematics, GITAM School of Science has inaugurated a three-day workshop on ‘Physics of Fluids: Methods and Applications’ (PFMA – Part-IV) at campus on 19th June 2023.
The Chief Guest Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar, Former Dean, Faculty of Sciences, IIT Kharagpur delivered the inaugural address. While elaborating on the key aim of the workshop, he said that ‘we want to introduce some techniques, focusing on better vision synthetic methods and applications followed by some ideas on technical/paper writing’. He made it clear that the PFMS Part-IV is the concluding version. He encouraged the participants to experiment. He appreciated the effort taken by the Department of Mathematics to organize these useful four workshops.
Earlier Matahar Reza, Head, of the Department of Mathematics welcomed the participants and proposed a vote of thanks.
Prof. K. Maruthi Prasad has briefed on the theme of the workshop and said that it is a continuous workshop for the last four years.
Prof. N. Vamsi Krishna, Convenor said that they are focusing on two areas, one is methods and the second one is how to write a paper and review the comments. He request that to utilize this workshop and actively participate in the three-day sessions. About 50 delegates from various engineering colleges participated in this workshop.
