Prize For Best State To Be Conferred On Madhya Pradesh While Best District Will Be Conferred On Ganjam District, Odisha
The Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar will confer the 4th National Water Awards on 17th June, 2023 at an award distribution ceremony being organised at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi by the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD &GR), Ministry of Jal Shakti. The Department has announced a total of 41 winners, including joint winners, for the 4th National Water Awards, 2022, covering 11 categories. Each award winner will be conferred with a citation and a trophy as well as cash prizes in certain categories.
Awardees List for 4th National Water Awards, 2022 The Award for the Best State will be conferred on Madhya Pradesh, 2nd prize will go to Odisha while 3 rd prize will be given jointly to Andhra Pradesh and Bihar. The Award for the Best District will be conferred on Ganjam District, Odisha while 2 nd prize will go to Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu and 3 rd prize will be given to Adilabad District, Telangana.
The Award for the Best Village Panchayat will be conferred on Jagannadhapuram Village Panchayat, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana, the 2 nd prize will go jointly to Kadavur Village Panchayat, Karur district, Tamil Nadu and Manickal Village Panchayat, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala while 3rd prize will be given jointly to Kadegaon Village Panchayat, Jalna district, Maharashtra and Mawkyrdep Village Panchayat, Bhoi Rymbong Block, Ri Bhoi district, Meghalaya.
The Award for the Best Urban Local Body will be conferred on Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, the 2 nd prize will go to Indore Municipal Corporation, Indore, Madhya Pradesh while 3rd prize will be given jointly to Surat Municipal Corporation, Surat, Gujarat and Malkapur Municipal Council, Karad, Satara, Maharashtra.
The Award for the Best Media will be conferred on Advance Water Digest Private Limited Gurugram, Haryana, the 2nd prize will be given jointly to Centre For Environment And Sustainable Development, Srinagar, Jammu And Kashmir and Regional News Unit, All India Radio, Guwahati, Assam while 3rd prize will be given to Network Eighteen, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The Award for the Best School will be conferred on Jamiyatpura Primary School, Mehsana, Gujarat, the 2 nd prize will go to KGBV School, Chagalamarri, Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh while 3rd prize will be given to Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Baori, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Award for the Best Institution for Campus usage will be conferred on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir; 2nd prize will go to Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, Telangana while 3rd prize will be given to Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Punjab.
The Award for the Best Industry will be conferred on Barauni Thermal Power Station, Begusarai, Bihar; 2nd prize will go to Honda Motorcycle And Scooter India Pvt Ltd, Kolar, Karnataka while 3rd prize will be given jointly to Apollo Tyres Limited, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu and CCL Products India Ltd, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The Award for the Best NGO will be conferred on Arpan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, Rajasthan, the 2nd prize will go to AROH Foundation, NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh while 3rd prize will be given to Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana, Pune, Maharashtra. Accion Fraterna, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh will get a special mention.
The Award for the Best Water User Association will be conferred on the Sanjeevani Piyat Sahkari Mandli Ltd, Narmada, Gujarat; 2nd prize will go jointly to Water User Association Nine Y-II, Ganganagar, Rajasthan and Hathuka Vibhag Piyat Sahakari Mandali Ltd, Tapi, Gujarat while 3rd prize will be given to Keliya Jamnakantha Nehroni Sahkari Mandali Ltd., Ambach, Navsari, Gujarat.
The Award for the Best Industry for CSR Activities will be conferred on HCL Technologies Ltd., Noida, Uttar Pradesh; 2nd prize will go to Coca Cola India, Gurugram, Haryana while 3rd prize will be given to GHCL Limited, Gir Somnath, Gujarat.
