G20: Delegates from SAI20 attend socio-cultural programme after conclusion of three-day Summit
In Goa, the delegates from the Supreme Audit Institutions of G20 countries (SAI20) attended a socio-cultural programme after the conclusion of their three-day Summit.
The SAI20 Engagement Group’s Summit was held from Monday to Wednesday in Panaji, under the aegis of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
Besides delegates from SAI20, guest SAIs, invitee SAIs, international organizations and Engagement Groups also attended the Summit. The delegates visited historical and cultural places, including the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Museum of Christian Art.
The Basilica is an iconic church located in Old Goa. It is a pilgrimage centre recognised by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Museum of Christian Art is located on the picturesque Holy Hill in Old Goa within the 17th-century Convent of Santa Monica.
The delegates were captivated by the rich cultural heritage and richness of Goa. They also visited local markets, exploring handicrafts, textiles, and intricate jewellery. They were also introduced to the scintillating flavours of Goa, blending traditional Indo-Goan cuisine with Portuguese influence.
