G20 Agriculture Ministerial meeting will be held in Hyderabad from tomorrow

The delegates of G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting to be held from Thursday in Hyderabad, have been extended a warm welcome at the International Airport at Samshabad. The G20 Agriculture Ministerial meeting will be held for three days till 17th of June.

The three-day event will be attended by more than 200 delegates from G20 member countries, invitee countries and International Organizations. The event will be graced by the Agriculture Ministers from various countries and the Director Generals from International Organizations. 

On the first day on Thursday, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Choudhary will inaugurate a grand exhibition. The exhibition will showcase the achievements of India in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. The inauguration will be followed by the Agriculture Deputies Meeting.
 
Second day of the meeting, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will join the event and welcome the Ministers and other Heads of the Delegation participating in the G20 meeting.
 
An official release stated that three will be two side events – Managing Agribusiness for Profit, People and Planet and Connecting the Digitally Disconnected: Harnessing the Power of Digital Technologies in Agriculture with participation from top Indian agriculture-based companies, start-ups and central and state government agencies connecting to promotion of agri-business companies.
 
The meeting also will deliberate upon Sustainable Agriculture for Food Security and Nutrition and women-led agriculture, sustainable biodiversity, and climate solutions. The meeting will conclude with adoption of the outcomes of the Agriculture Working Group, G20, Indian Presidency.
