PM Modi, Anurag Singh Thakur congratulates Indian Women’s team on winning Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian women’s team on winning the 2023 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, the team has shown immense perseverance, talent and teamwork and have made India very proud.

Mr. Thakur said, the Naari Shakti has scripted history by winning the title by defeating four-time champions South Korea in an emphatic display of skill and passion. He said, it is a moment of pride that government’s quest to nurture young and grassroot talent is showing encouraging results.
He said, 17 of these athletes are khelo India athletes and they have honed up their skills at the Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas Southern Centre, Bengaluru. The Minister said, the country is extremely proud of them and the entire country is delighted by their success.
