Hyderabad: Dr. Daware English medium School inaugurates in Badi Chawdi Sultan Bazar under Vivek Vardhini Education Society

More than eight decades old Marathi pathshala Dr. Daware Upper Primary School, run by Vivek Vardhini Education Society in Badi Chawdi Sultan Bazar, today entered a new era of education with English medium. Parallel English medium school inaugurated by Former Vice Chancellor of Dr.B. R. Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad and an eminent educationist Dr. Vijay Pandharipande. He stressed on strengthening the teacher-student bondings to maintain higher quality in education.
Dr. Vijay Pandharipande has earlier served at Tata Institute Pune, IIT Kharagpur and Osmania University. In his address, underlining the importance of education, he said that today, though education has become career-oriented, its basic objective is to create human beings and humanity. The meaning of education is to help the student to become a good human being. He said that today educational institutions are increasing, but there is a lack of quality education.
To get out of this problem, it is necessary that the relationship between the teacher and the student should be strong. Instead of emphasizing on teaching, teachers should encourage the student to learn from their behavior and it should be kept in mind that in today’s modern era, the utility of knowledge should be to find easy solutions of complex problems. It is the duty of the teacher to tell the principles of what to do and what not to do in life.
Dr. Geeta Kate, Honorary Secretary of V V Education Society, in her address said that Dr. Daware School was started in 1940, which was later taken over by the society and till date this school is considered a benchmark in the field of quality education. Many success stories have been written here. Today, according to the need of the hour, a parallel English medium is being started here. He urged that the entire team will have to work hard for its development and progress.
Society’s Vice President Anand Kulkarni said that VVES was started in 1907. Today 6 schools, 5 colleges, 2 music school and 1 sports academy are being run under Society. Today another institution has started as an English medium. He said that from Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, many great personalities have stepped in this institution. In the future all types of education systems equipped with modern technology will be established by society.
Dr. Kanchan Jatkar, Chairman of Dr. Daware School, while highlighting the history of the establishment of the school, underlined the necessity of English medium. VVES Treasurer Prakash Tuljapurkar introduced the chief guest. Joint Secretary Anil Rajeshwarkar expressed vote of thanks. Dr. Shyamsundar Kulkarni was honored at the function. Chairman of English Medium School Ravindra Hippalgaonkar, Trustee members of VVES Dr. Anand Abkari and Dr. Ramkrishna Satwalekar and Anjali Pophale, Neeta Pandharipande, Mangalabai Palnitkar and others were present on the occasion Many of the education lovers present also announced their financial contribution in the progress of the English Medium Dr. Daware School.
