G20 Digital Economy Working Group Conference to be organized in Pune on digital security
A three-day G20 Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) Conference will be organized in Pune from tomorrow on digital security. The Secretary of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Alkesh Kumar Sharma informed the official media in Pune today that three major issues of digital public infrastructure, security in digital public economy and digital skills will be discussed in this meeting.
The Conference of G20 countries will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Electronic and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrasekhar.
Alkesh Kumar Sharma said that the youth of India have started giving special priority to digital financial transactions. 73 percent of the country’s youth prefer digital transactions, thereby boosting India’s economy. Also, digital cyber security is a very important topic on digital public platforms.
Therefore cyber security will be discussed in this meeting to create public awareness. Similarly, a common recognition framework will be created in this meeting through digital skilling. Mr. Sharma also expressed the belief that the discussion in this meeting will definitely be useful for reaching an agreement on the digital economy with various countries.
A Global DPI Exhibition will be organized to showcase 14 experience zones comprising Identity, Payment, Paperless Governance, Digital Agriculture, Education & Skilling, Healthcare, and Digital India Journey.
