Kerala: Union Minister Parshottam Rupala and MoS Dr L Murugan to visit Madakkara Fishing Harbour to interact with fishermen

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala and Minister of State Dr L Murugan will visit the Madakkara Fishing Harbour and Pallikkara Mission Colony in Kasargod district and interact with fishermen.

The Ministers will also hold a meeting with PM Matsya Sampada Yojana beneficiaries at Kanhangadu and will participate in a public function at Kasargod. Similar programmes have been arranged at Mahe and Beypore on Friday and Saturday.

The Ministers will also interact with people’s representatives of coastal region at Nattika and participate in Theera sadasu at Thriprayar in Thrissur district. They will also visit the Thoppumpady Fishing Harbour in Kochi. On Sunday, the Ministers will visit Kavaratti. Sagar Parikrama is aimed at enabling the government to devise better policies for improving the quality of life and economic well-being of the fisher community.
